Terms and Priciples of
Empowered’s Startup Visa Program:
This program is ONLY for high potential Canadian University graduates who truly want to lead and grow their own startup. Ventures with a single founder, or teams of up to 5 founders, are applicable.
You must be motivated to be a founder of your own company and committed to do what is required in the pursuit of attaining a profitable fit between your startup’s innovations and the market.
Your startup must propose to develop an innovative product in Canada with potential to sell both domestically and internationally.
Canada’s Startup Visa Program targets immigrant entrepreneurs with the skills and potential to build businesses in Canada that:
Are innovative
Have potential to create jobs for Canadians
Have potential to compete on a global scale
Incubation: 12 months. Applicants may participate in Incubation from anywhere in Canada. Empowered Startups has developed and implemented the state-of-the-art digital incubation mentorship platform on which all entrepreneurs will learn and progress.
Processing Time: Immigration Refugee, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) attempts to issue immigration decisions in the Startup Visa Program in less than six months. A work permit is available should the entrepreneur need to launch quickly – work permits are generally approved in less than 30 days.
